Hi everyone. I'm Tony and it was my father Dave who recorded the gig in 81.

He was there with a friend working front of house sound. Mark King needed to borrow a reverb unit. Dad went home to get one and asked to record the gig, on a cassette deck he had conveniently brought back with him.

This recording was my introduction to mastering around the year 2000. Mastering has been my passion ever since.

Although I´ve re worked this many times over the years, I believe this is the best version, as I addressed the lack of Dolby B decoding from when it was  originally digitized  and then did further processing.

Please share so everyone gets the opportunity to download.

Enjoy!

So, 1981 at the Central hotel Gillingham. Pops mate 'H' is doing the front of house sound. Mark King asks if he can borrow a reverb unit, and Dad living close by goes to get one. Also bringing back a cassette deck and asking Mark if he can record the gig.

Skip on to maybe 1998-2000ish. I'm browsing through Dad's tape collection and find the recording. He'd never even mentioned it before, so I was a bit surprised.

I then digitized it using the16bit soundblaster card in my p200 :)
